Not surprisingly, Disneyland announced a price increase this morning on a variety of items.  Given the state of the economy it should not come as a great shock that Disney is looking to raise prices, however, I am not sure how sustainable these annual increases are for families looking to travel.

Here is what Disneyland released this morning:

Disneyland Day Passes and Tickets

Both single-day and multi-day ticket prices jumped this morning.   Increases are between $5 and $65.  A single-day ticket can cost between $104 and $194 depending on the day you choose.

Disneyland Parking

Parking increased by $5 and is now $35.

Disneyland Genie Service

If you want to skip the lines and use Genie+ that also went up $5 and is now $30.

Magic Key Annual Passes

Price increases for passes range from $50 to $150.

  • Inspire pass: $1,599 to $1,649
  • Believe pass: $1,099 to $1,249
  • Enchant pass: $699 to $849
  • Imagine pass: $449 to $499

Disney World announced its own set of increases this morning as well.

My clients ask me all the time how to avoid these increases.  My best advice is to plan your trip as early as possible with a travel advisor.  By doing so, you lock in current pricing and avoid these increases, and if prices go down on your package your travel advisor can help get the price adjusted for you.  Need help?  Contact me today and let me help you plan your next vacation!
