Great news for Disneyland fans today…many of your favorite nighttime spectaculars will be returning this spring with some added surprises worth celebrating about!  I can hardly wait to book our next vacation just to catch some of this magic!  Here is what we learned today:

“Fantasmic!” will return to Disneyland on May 28, 2022!  This exhilarating show is packed with drama, music, and special effects.  This beloved classic has been pleasing audiences at Disneyland for over 30 years and is a must see.  I hope we hear some similar news for Walt Disney World soon.

“World of Color” will return to California Adventure Park starting April 22, 2022.  This dazzling water show is arguably one of the best nighttime shows at the Disneyland Resort. The projection of animation on the water, synchronized to familiar Disney tunes is something that should not be missed!

“Disneyland Forever” Fireworks is returning April 22, 2022 and will run weekends from late Spring until Summer 2022 when it will then switch to a nightly run.  This amazing mix of storytelling and fireworks was part of the Diamond Celebration and a hit with many Disney fans.  This is a “limited run” engagement and Disney did not release an end date (true Disney form).  I would guess this will be switched out for holiday fireworks in the fall so you may want to get to Disneyland this summer to see it.

The “Main Street Electric Parade” will also return April 22 to celebrate its 50th anniversary.  This is one of my all-time favorite parades and I am so excited about its return!!  This is also a “limited run” but there are some new additions to the parade which I personally hope will extend the “limited run” engagement.

In honor of the “Main Street Electrical Parade’s” 50th anniversary, the Disney Live Entertainment team is introducing a new grand finale which will celebrate the theme of togetherness.  The grand finale will bring to life more than a dozen Disney Animation and Pixar stories from Encanto to Coco, Raya, Mulan, Brave, Aladdin and so much more.  The seven-segment grand finale will stretch 118 feet in length and guests on each side of the parade route will see a different set of scenes.  Check out some of the early artist rendering that Disney released today.

It is great to see Disneyland getting back to pre-covid entertainment and I hope we will hear similar news for Walt Disney World soon.
