Are you ready for a frightfully good time??  If so, get ready for “Disney After Hours Boo Bash” coming to Magic Kingdom this Fall.  Walt Disney World just released new details about this specially ticketed, limited capacity event which will surely delight guests of all ages!

If you are a fan of the “Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party” beware, this is a much more scaled back event.  This event is more like the After-Hours parties that were offered by Disney prior to last year.  However, given the current state of things this Disney lover is celebrating… it is a holiday event, and I can’t wait!

Now for the frightfully amazing details……

This limited 23-night engagement will run from August 10 – October 31 from 9 p.m. to midnight most nights.*  It is a separately ticketed event for Magic Kingdom meaning you will not need a regular day ticket or park reservation. You will be able to enter Magic Kingdom at 7 p.m. the day of the event so you can get your party started a little early.

Once the park closes to day guests, the Halloween magic will take over and guest at this frightful event will enjoy:

  • Special Halloween themed cavalcades. “Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade” will highlight Mickey Mouse and friends all dressed up for this special occasion.  See some of your favorite villains take to the streets and celebrate in the “Disney Villains Halloween Cavalcade.”  And don’t miss “Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade” which will include Jack Skellington, Sally and Oogie Boogie floating down the parade path to “This is Halloween.”  There will also be a special appearance by a very well-known fire breathing dragon…could it be…it is…Maleficent!
  • Appearances by special characters dressed in their holiday best including Goofy and Chip ‘n’ Dale to name a few. Miss Carlotta will be at the Haunted Mansion and the Cadaver Dans are rumored to be making a special comeback (from the dead) performance.
  • Frightfully good (and complimentary) food and drinks including novelty ice cream, popcorn and select beverages.
  • Even more frightfully good food and drink options that can be purchased throughout the Bash including an Apple Ginger Dale frozen drink (frozen apple cider mixed with ginger ale and topped with whipped cream) and a Foolish Mortal Funnel Cake** – doesn’t that look delicious!

  • Guests can dress in costume and go trick or treating around the park! Costume masks are not permitted for adults and are only allowed for children under 14 years of age.  Be sure to review the Costume Policy and Know Before You Go pages for the latest policies and restrictions.
  • More Disney rides! Once the park closes to day-guests, Boo Bash guests will enjoy less time waiting in line for 20 of the parks most amazing rides including: Haunted Mansion attraction, Seven Dwarf Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, Peter Pan’s Flight and more.
  • Special decorations with be added to make the event even more magical and to tie into “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” Blending the story of Cinderella with fall, look for special coach decorations on Main Street U.S.A. compliments of Walt Disney Imagineering and The Walt Disney Report Holiday Service team.
  • Disney Photopass photographers will also be available to capture your spooktacular memories. Photopass is not included and is a separate charge.  I highly recommend purchasing Photopass for your vacation since Disney Photopass photographers are no longer allowed to use your personal camera to get that complete family picture.
