Jessie’s Trading Post and Roundup Rodeo BBQ restaurant will debut at Hollywood Studio’s Toy Story Land in 2022. These long overdue additions will add two elements to Toy Story Land that have been missing since its opening a gift shop and a table service restaurant. Given the compact space of Toy Story Land, minimum shade, and the massive crowds, we usually hit the rides and run. I never even noticed that these elements were missing but they won’t be for long!
Jessie’s Trading Post will be a souvenir shop packed with items picked out by Jessie herself. Disney did not release a date or much else in terms of details but who doesn’t need another shop to browse through?
Roundup Rodeo BBQ was supposed to open in 2020, however due to the global shutdown this project was put on hold. This table service restaurant will serve delicious BBQ while guests are immersed in a toy rodeo. Disney released the following details yesterday:
“Stepping into the lobby and waiting area, Guests experience first-hand what it feels like to be one of Andy’s honorary toys, before progressing into two larger dining room spaces where Andy’s rodeo takes place. Here, the rodeo will be in full swing, with western town and train station playsets mixing with surprising, playful details, like some fan-favorite Pixar characters as they’ve never been seen before!”
No opening date was released for this either. In a recent visit to Hollywood Studios, we noticed some construction taking place but very little so your guess is as good as ours when these venues will open. Let’s just hope both are air conditioned!
